Alghero is a town with a good quality of life. A city alive all year round and not just a tourist one. The historic center is a jewel of architecture where styles stratify each other but still remains the sign of Catalan domination. In the city it is easy to get around on foot or by bicycle. It is ideal for a relaxing holiday but also offers fun for the evening for those who want it.
Beaches & Porto Conte Park
The beaches are many and beautiful, different from each other. Some beaches can be reached by bicycle from Alghero, for the more distant ones there is a bus that connects them to Alghero center. Many beaches are located in the Porto Conte regional park, a protected and very beautiful area to explore for its uncontaminated and suggestive nature, for the remains of ancient Sardinian and Roman settlements and for the suggestive caves.
